Summary 
This position will assist the local entity corporate responsibility officer(CRO) in the administration of QualChoice Health PlanService’s (QCHPS) Corporate Responsibility Program (CRP), which, whencoupled with its parent company’s "Our Values and Ethics at Work" manual,  provides a framework for compliancewith QCHPS’  Standards of Conduct and all applicablelaws and regulations. This individualfunctions in an independent and objective manner.

Responsibilities 
  • Assists in the administration and monitoring ofQCHPS’ Compliance Program, based upon the seven elements of an effectivecompliance program, which directs organizational compliance with Federal andState guidelines and in particular the Medicare Advantage Planregulations. 
  • Responsible for creation andmaintenance of annual risk assessment and audit work plan, through which QCHPSseeks to mitigate identified risks.  
  • Responsible for conducting internal audits to identifycompliance risks and/or coordination of external resourcesto ensure adequate,independent entity auditing and monitoring resources are devotedto identify compliancerisk activities.
  • Assists with implementationand follow-up of Corrective Action Plans.
  • Provides management and support for entity level Compliance program committees/workgroups. This includes facilitating meetings, working with group leads to plan, coordinate and documentworkgroup activities and deliverables.
  • Coordinates internal and external compliance investigations and complaints through resolution. May coordinate with and assist the entity’s Privacy Officer in Privacy/Security investigations.
  • Assists the entity CRO in preparing reportsto the regional CRO, and to the entity CEO, andCompliance Committee on compliancematters.
  • Maintains expert working knowledge of and disseminates applicable laws and regulations.
  • Participates in development opportunities to further the effectiveness of CRP. May serve as a compliance subject matter expert in a specificcompliance area throughcoordination with the Entity or Regional CRO.
  • May supervise local compliancestaff as applicable.

Education/ Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred)
  • Bachelor Degree in Hospital Administration, Finance, Law, Accounting, Health Information Management, Nursing, Business or other relatedhealthcare field required.
  • Certification in Compliance required within one year of hire.

Experience (required and preferred)

  • Three (3) or more years of experience in healthcare compliance is required
  • Leadership experience in compliance is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively in a large, geographically diverse system.
